We had a day full of fun, games, excitement and food! Thank you for your very kind donations and apologies for the very hyper children you received back!
We all had a fantastic Disney party yesterday! We managed to snap a picture of us all before many of us de-disney-ed! Who's idea was it to organise a dressing up day in these temperatures?!

It was so lovely to see so many proud faces at our graduation ceremony on Friday. We hope you enjoyed the morning just as much as the children and ourselves did.
Like I said, we love the graduation ceremony as we are so proud of each and every one of the children, the progress they have each made and just how far they have all come....however it also marks the end of their time with us in Reception and it can be quite tough to 'let them go'!. All the staff in reception would like to thank-you all for your very kind, thoughtful and generous gifts you bought each of us! You didn't need to do that...but we are all very appreciative. Mrs Rushbrooke and I would also like to say an extra special Thank-you for our vouchers for Afternoon Tea at Milsoms. We may save that for after the craziness of someones wedding?!!!!. Many thanks again for your generosity! This morning, we had a whole school 'Super Learning Gem' assembly. Mrs Rushbrooke and I had a bit of a tough time deciding who should receive each award as there were many contenders for all 7.
Well done to each of our deserving winners! As you may of read on here yesterday, Mrs Rushbrooke and the children dug up the new potatoes we grew in our Reception garden.
This morning, Mrs Rushbrooke cooked them with some mint in our kitchen, and then we got to try them with some butter. We thought they tasted lovely...some of us even had seconds! We also took some down to Mrs Ross to try.....she ate the whole bowl so they must of been tasty! Thank you Mrs Rushbrooke Today, Mrs Rushbrooke helped us to dig up the potatoes which we planted back in April. Mrs Rushbrooke showed us how to dig up the potato plants up from their roots, and we collected the potatoes and put them in a bucket.
Mrs Rushbrooke is going to cook the potatoes up with some mint for our snack tomorrow and we can try some warm with butter. For this weeks cooking session, we have made fruit kebabs!
Mrs Rushbrooke kindly cut up many different fruits for us, and we had to carefully slide the pieces of fruit onto kebab sticks. Our fruit included: Melon, Strawberries, Blueberries, Pineapple, Orange, Nectarine, Apricot and Grapes. Thank you to Alex and Mrs Rushbrooke for helping us today! |
