In Phonics today the children learnt to read the first three tricky words from Phase 2: and, the, to. The children learnt they cannot sound these words out so have to try and take a picture of them in their heads and remember them.
The class went on a tricky word hunt around the classroom showing an adult the tricky word they found and reading it to them.
