This week in maths we have been learning about taking away one and the concept of ‘zero’. We have been singing ‘5 currant buns’ and discussing taking away one each time, working out how many are left and then talking about there being none (zero) left at the end!
We decided to have a go at making our own currant buns, round and fat with a cherry on top!
Here are some pictures of the children baking- I didn’t manage a picture of the finished product- they gobbled them up too quickly!
