We are wondering what we will find him up to tomorrow morning!....
When the children came in to school this morning, they found that Sam the Elf had been making snow angels!.... He made rather a mess on the table, and Miss Rushbrooke got covered in 'snow' trying to clear Sam's mess up!
We are wondering what we will find him up to tomorrow morning!....

During todays cooking session, we completed the last stage (almost) of our Christmas cakes - the icing. Mrs Rushbrooke mixed up some icing and put some on the top of the cakes, we then had a go at carefully spreading the white icing around the sides of the cake, and chose a 'Merry Christmas' to pop on the top.
We think they look rather yummy! Thank- you for helping us make our Christmas cakes Mrs Rushbrooke! This morning during registration, and after our 2 'helpers of the day' had opened the first doors of our advent calendar, a very excited Mrs Rushbrooke burst through the classroom door with a large and very special parcel which was addressed to all the children in the class. It had a special stamp mark on the front, which informed us the package had been sent from THE NORTH POLE!.....this could only mean 1 thing......the package had been sent by SANTA!
Inside the package was a letter from Santa, explaining that he had sent one of his elves to keep a watchful eye out for him in the lead up to Christmas. Also in the package there was a special book and a handsome little elf in his very smart red outfit. Each evening after his day at school, the elf will report back to Santa at the North Pole with how the children in Hughes class have been behaving, and each morning when the children come in, the elf will be hiding in a different spot (possibly up to mischief) ready for them to find, sometimes with a challenge for them to complete. There is just one rule.....the children must not touch the elf, or his magic will disappear. The first challebge which the Elf gave to the children was to give him a new name, and after lots of suggestions and discussion, they have decided on the name.....SAM! |
