Test 1
Verity- the silver will go faster as it is soft.
Alfie- the black will give it speed.
Isla- Red will go fast, but the colour will do nothing.
Corinne- The blue will be first as it is the sun and the pink is in the shade.
After 53 minutes- the blue and silver had melted completely, there was a small amount left on the red and black and the largest piece was on the pink. Alfie- "The pink one got no sun as it was in the shade".
Test 2
Lilly- The blue is cold it won't let it melt.
Sophia- The pink will be fast as it's light.
Mayzee- Black will be last as its darker.
Diego- The silver will get warmer and warmer.
Result 2
After 10 minutes the ice on the silver card was melting the quickest. After 20 minutes the silver ice was still in the lead. After 30 minutes the ice on the pink card did not look like it was melting at all. After 50 minutes the ice on the silver had melted completely, then the red, blue, and black and finally the pink.
Mayzee- " The sun got their first so it was faster."
Test 3
Amber- The blue will be slow because it is blue.
Rosie- Red because its in the sun and will go fast.
Cally- Pink will be fast.
Alexander- Red will make it melt a lot.
Finlay- Red like the sun will make it go fast.
Cameron- black will be fast as it is more blacker.
Jessica- Ice will melt in the sunshine not in the cold.
After 10 minutes the ice on the pink and black card started to melt. After 20 minutes the black and blue card had melting ice, but the red was still quite large. Finlay- "The red is not in the sun, it will not melt fast". After 58 minutes all the ice had melted in this order- Pink, blue, black, silver and lastly red.
After our experiments we all discussed our findings.
Phoebe- Colour made no difference.
Mollena- The ones in the sun was quickest.
Ellie- The hot ones melted first.
Oscar- The wood in the window got in the way.
Oria- Ice in the shade won't melt fast.
