As part of our 'Animals' topic, we had some more animals come and visit us this afternoon. Mrs Simmonds, who works at school and her Dad, very kindly bought in some of her 'poultry pets'.
They bought in....
Amelia the Turkey,
Audrey and Suzie the chickens,
Tinks the Game Chicken
and George the Duck!
Some of us were a little nervous to begin with (including some of the adults), but as we got used to the birds, many of us stroked them and even held them!
Mrs Simmonds' also bought in some of the bird's eggs so we could compare the sizes.....the Turkey egg was the biggest!
We would like to say a big THANK YOU, to Mrs Simmonds and her Dad for kindly bringing the birds into see us!
