Firstly, I would like to say and big WELL DONE to all the children (and parents) for having a great first morning! As daunting as the thought may of been about starting 'BIG' school, the children soon settled in, and they are beginning to find their feet.
These first few days we have been busy getting used to sitting on the carpet and listening and understanding how our 'planning board' (activities) work and getting used to the daily routines of school life, such as register, snack times, lunchtime and hometime. We have also had our first taste of PE lessons with Mr Childs. Today, we took off our shoes and socks and went into the hall to play some parachute games- we had lots of fun!
We are already very proud and very pleased of the children and how well they have settled in to class Hughes!
You may of seen on the note i put up on the door, that we have our 'Meet the Teacher' session on Monday (11th September) straight after school. It will just be a 20 minute (ish) talk about what to expect in the coming year.
We may need 5 minutes just to quickly set the chairs up, but please then come and join us in the Reception classroom. We hope to see lots of you there!
