On Friday 24th May Class Hughes were lucky enough to visit Tescos in Martlesham. The aim of the trip was to discover how food gets from the farm and onto our forks.
Our friend Paul was on hand to lead the trip and take us all over the store.

On arrival we were meet with a big smile and a happy welcome. Every child was given a bright yellow tabbard and hat, to help keep us safe as we ventured around the store.
We investigated and discovered were the fruit and vegetables are grown before being sent to Tesco's.
We got to taste cheese made with cow's, goat's and even sheep milk.
Paul took us to the fish counter. He held up and showed us salmon, muscles, scallops, shrimps and a tuna.
Half the class then had a snack and drink while the other half went into the bakery where we got to use the jamming machine to fill our very own doughnuts.
We even went into the warehouse and the freezer. It was minus 21 degrees.
