From the pastry Mrs Rushbrooke had kindly made us, we each used a pastry cutter to cut out a 'botttom' for our pie, which we pushed into a muffin tray. We then filled out pies with some sausage meat...we had a quick feel and it felt gooey and cold! Next, we had to use the pastry cutter again to cut out 'lids' for our pies....these kept the sausage meat in. Our final (and most fun) step was carefully making the ears, eyes and nose for the pigs out of the remaining pastry!
We think they looked rather cute.....Miss Rushbrooke thought they even looked too cute to eat!
Thank you to Mrs Rushbrooke for helping us cook today.
