Today Class Hughes took part in the sponsored event- "Sports for Schools". We all completed a circuit of keep fit activities, including spotty dogs, leg jumps, press ups and star jumps. Even Mrs Ross and Mrs Rushbrooke gave it a go!
After the event we were introduced to Roy Turnham and his dog Pudsey. Roy is a footballer who has competed in many games, including playing for GB at the Paralympic games in London in 2012. Team GB finished 7th. Roy explained how he always loved sport, especially football and even though he is blind, never thought he could not play football, nor that he could never play for his country. He explained anyone can do anything, as long as you work hard, believe in your self and never give up. A real inspiring talk. Thank you Roy.
Now its our turn. Sponsorship forms and money can be brought in any time from now to Monday 22nd February. Monies raised will go to sports charities and buying the school sports equipment. Plus every child has the chance to receive "sports for Schools" goodies.
