In our Maths lesson this morning, we were learning about 'Symmetry'.
We learnt that the word symmetry means 'the same on both sides'.
Miss Rushbrooke laid out some big sheets of card on the carpet with a meter rule stick down the middle to represent our 'line of symmetry'. Miss Rushbrooke then laid out a shape on one side of the card, and then we had to make it look the same on the other side- making sure we chose the correct size and colour of shape each time- otherwise the 2 sides would not look the same.
Once we had all had a few goes with making symmetry pictures with shapes.....we had a go at making symmetry pictures with ourselves!....check out the pictures below.....
