As you may of read on the front of the homework, this week in our Maths lessons, we have been learning about symmetry. We have made both large and small scale symmetrical pictures with multilink cubes, shapes and drawings. We have learnt that the term 'Symmetry' means an object or picture which looks the same on both sides......so we decided to incorporate this into our weekly cooking session by making symmetrical pizzas.
We each imagined we had a line down the middle of our pitta bread, and whichever topping we placed on one side of the line, we had to place in the same spot on the other side of the line. We has to think carefully about it at first, but then we soon got the hang of it. We thought our pizzas looked quite symmetrical.....and very yummy!
