This week we have been reading the story ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’. Today in the woods we decided to create a sensory trail of the story. We made swishy swishy grass, a deep cold river, sticky oozy mud,
L a swirling whirling snow storm, a dark forest (stumble, trip) and a cave for a bear! The children had great fun creating the parts of the story and then reenacting it throughout the afternoon.
What a super way to spend a rainy afternoon in the woods!
We finished the afternoon with a biscuit the children had decorated in the style of a bear!
During class time we created some journey maps and added some words using our super phonics skills.
