Mandela ClassToday is the last day of school for most children due to Coronavirus. Next week we will be beginning Home Learning using Seesaw. See you all soon!As a school we had a Book Swap and Teacher Swap. In class we focused on illustrating our fantastic books which we have been making to retell the animated story Broken - the story of Rock, Paper and Scissors.
We have been working hard, to apply the skills learnt and the knowledge acquired from studying different artists, to create a colourful wall hanging. We are very pleased with the results. In Mandela Class we are lucky enough to have Mr Harvey work with us to help a different group (each half term) to learn a poem off by heart and recite it to the rest of the class. This is a skill, which is not only part of the Year 6 expectations for reading, but is also a life skill which prepares the children for High School and beyond. It always amazes me how all different types of children respond to the task and the change which occurs in their confidence and ability in just 6 weeks. They all performed really well. Well done everyone!
