Parents - you would be surprised how many children enjoyed eating mushrooms!!
In Science we are studying 'Classifying Critters' - all about classifying living things into the 5 kingdoms. So far we have found out about Plants, Animals and Bacteria and today we learnt about Fungi. We explored the most recognised form of fungi - the mushroom! Mrs Matthews brought in lots of different types of mushrooms for us to draw and look at. Afterwards Mrs Gillings and Mrs Calver cooked them so we could all have a taste. There were mixed reactions - but it was a fun afternoon :-) Parents - you would be surprised how many children enjoyed eating mushrooms!!
