With everyone back in school this week, we decided to make sure we hadn't all forgotten multiplication tables, squared and cubed numbers whilst learning from home. On Thursday we had a discussion challenge designed by Mr Bee, to look at the numbers 1-50 on the grid and see what we noticed about the colours. The children quickly spotted the multiples of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7. We then looked at other colours and shapes on the grid and was able to identify the prime numbers, squared and cubed numbers were also shown. |
We then used the colours we had identified to complete our own grids. Some children chose to use 50-100 and others challenged themselves by choosing their own numbers. On Friday, we used our multiplication, squared and cubed number knowledge in a different way by completing a mosaic puzzle. We have also started to write a song based on our knowledge of Fractions, Decimals and Percentages. We hope to be able to show you the finished song soon!
